Innovative Designs
We recognize that maintaining our position as a leading pipe support manufacturer requires continuous innovation. To achieve this, our engineers actively develop solutions that optimize performance while remaining highly cost-effective. Our Research and Development (R&D) team focuses on utilizing high-durability materials, engineering versatile geometries for confined spaces, and rigorously testing prototypes to ensure uncompromising safety.
Precise Calculations
Accuracy is critical to ensuring optimal performance, safety, and long-term durability. To guarantee this level of precision, our engineers are extensively trained in industry-leading software, including Mathcad, 2D AutoCAD and 3D Autodesk Inventor, which are fully integrated into our product design process.

Rigorous Testing
Prior to mass production, all newly engineered products undergo rigorous in-house validation. Our testing facility features a Baldwin BTE 400 universal testing machine equipped with a 400,000 lbs. load cell, allowing for high-capacity tensile and compressive evaluation. Retrofitted with a fully digitized Instron servo controller, the system enables advanced data acquisition across a diverse range of test configurations. Through this framework, our engineering and R&D departments collaborate closely to ensure all products consistently exceed industry standards.
Research & Development (R&D)
Driven by a commitment to innovation, our dedicated R&D team keeps Rilco at the forefront of pipe support technology. Utilizing advanced in-house testing equipment, we continuously experiment with new materials and emerging technologies, allowing us to rigorously validate every product from initial concept through to final production.
Some of the research experiments we conduct at our facility include:
- Physical Load Testing
- Low Temperature Testing of Polyurethane and Cryogel® Z Insulated Pipe Supports
- High Temperature Testing of Calcium Silicate and Pyrogel® XT-E Insulated Pipe Supports
- Low Temperature Coil Spring Cyclic Testing
- Belleville Washer Fatigue Testing
