quality control

We conduct extensive research when deciding on our material suppliers.  We strive to ensure that we order the best valued materials that meet the pipe support industry standards, as well as our clients’ specifications.

The quality team performs thorough inspections of all materials and goods received to ensure compliance with technical specifications. Material Test Reports are required for steel materials and collected and maintained for current and future use. Numerous product and material tests are performed on-site at our facility to ensure delivery of the best, most reliable designs in the pipe support industry.

Some of our tests include thermal testing, loading, frictional, clamping force, raw material testing and spring testing. Many quality checks occur during our manufacturing process such as dimension verification, fit-up, welding inspections, surface conditions and more. Additionally, all are followed up by a final inpsection prior to shipping.

Packing & Shipping

Prior to packaging & shipping each unit is approved by our Quality Assurance Personnel.  Each completed product is transferred to a pallet or crate depending on the proper protection for transportation.  All products are affixed with a 4” x 4” bar-coded label made of polyester and attached with maximum strength adhesive in order to withstand extreme outdoor conditions in the field.

Each bar-code is embedded with data that facilitates the receiving process after delivery.  The data includes:

  • Client Name
  • Purchase Order Number
  • Client Item Number
  • Client Mark Number in Barcode (Internationally recognized code 128, ASCII characters)
  • Unit’s Brief Description
  • Rilco Order Number
  • Rilco Contact Information

Once all appropriate packaging preparations have been made the Rilco shipping department will contact the client’s authorized shipper and arrange for pickup.
