Getting Muddy for a Cause

The " Rilco Royalty" Team Competes in the Gritty Goddess 5K

On October 11th a group of Rilco employees teamed up for a mud run called the Gritty Goddess in Galveston, TX. As an effort to support our local community, Rilco sponsored the team in order to support the two great causes benefiting from the event. Proceeds from the race were donated to Girls on the Run and The Rainbow Connection.

Girls on the Run is an organization dedicated to a transformational physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls ages seven to 14 years old. The program prepares girls physically and mentally to complete a 5K running event. The goal of the organization is to promote young girls' self-esteem and confidence while encouraging a wholesome, healthy lifestyle.

The Rainbow Connection is a program that enables children with blood disorders or cancer to attend summer camp along with their brothers and sisters. Their mission is to help young people confronting these illnesses re-discover that they are normal kids too and deserve the opportunity to attend summer camp regardless of their family's financial situation.
